As a contracted representative for Justine PETERSEN, a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) based out of St. Louis, we act as a conduit and resource for alternative capital for Southwest Missouri and rural Missouri business owners.
Justine PETERSEN is a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) micro-loan intermediary lender. Justine PETERSEN borrows capital from the SBA and the USDA and originates loans to entrepreneurs that do not have access to commercial or conventional loans, due to issues such as credit number or time in business.
WHAT IS A MICORLOAN?
A micro loan is a small loan offered to small businesses that are unable to access capital from a traditional lender, such as a bank. Microloans are typically less than $50,000, however Justine PETERESEN has lending options available up to $250,000.
CREDIT BUILDING SERVICES
Justine PETERSEN also provides free credit building services to small business owners. They know your credit score is your biggest asset when it comes to getting loans from a traditional bank, and therefore they take each individual through one-on-one credit education and credit buildings part of the loan application process. The goal is to help businesses get "bank loan ready", and credit building is an integral part of that process.
REQUIREMENTS AND TERMS
Justine PETERSEN bases each loan off of a specific set of requirements, that are much different, and often more lenient, than a traditional bank. They take on "higher risk" loans that banks are often unable to lend to, which allows them to fill a gap in access to capital for small businesses.
While each loan is different and will be evaluated on an individual basis, some of the differences between Justine PETERSEN and traditional banks exist around:
Credit Score Requirements
Time in Business
Time Needed to Process Loan
I look forward to discussing your business needs and seeing if Justine PETERSEN's services are right for you and your business!
